| Nylon |
|
|
Nylons (polyamides) are crystalline thermoplastic engineering resins which are
ideal for use in applications requiring strong mechanical properties and resistance
to breakdown from heat, friction, and proximity to petroleum-based fluids. Nylon is
highly flexible, requires minimal lubrication, and is easily manufactured into shapes
that can be machined into parts, providing an excellent alternative to more expensive
injection molding. Some common applications for Nylon include automotive and business
machine parts, industrial bearings, machine housings and equipment covers.
