ULTEM®, the commercial name for polyetherimide, is an amorphous thermoplastic resin which demonstrates
outstanding heat resistance, strength, modulus and a broad resistance to chemical breakdown. Additionally,
ULTEM® offers high dimensional stability, good electrical properties, broad and is injection moldable,
while exhibiting an inherent flame resistance and a low smoke generation without the need for additives.
Typical applications for Ultem® include aircraft interiors, medical instrument trays, automotive engine
components, and institutional cookware requiring stability under extreme temperatures.
